Responsibilities
- Own membership acquisition, subscription revenue, and engagement growth targets, developing annual and quarterly strategies aligned with broader revenue objectives.
- Identify and develop new growth opportunities that balance member needs, client priorities, and business objectives.
- Partner with Finance, Sales, Client Success, Growth Operations, and business teams to establish revenue targets, monitor performance against budgets, and adjust strategies based on results.
- Lead omnichannel acquisition and demand-generation programs, developing audience segmentation strategies that improve targeting, engagement, and conversion.
- Manage acquisition budgets and optimize channel investment to maximize return on ad spend, customer acquisition efficiency, and LTV performance.
- Establish testing roadmaps covering acquisition, enrollment, engagement, and subscription conversion, using experimentation to continuously improve results.
- Collaborate with Client Relations to develop client-ready campaigns that secure stakeholder support and drive member engagement.
- Partner with Product and UX teams to optimize websites, landing pages, enrollment journeys, wellness experiences, and subscription paths through A/B and multivariate testing.
- Lead CRM and lifecycle marketing strategies across email, SMS, mobile, and in-app channels, including onboarding, activation, upsell, renewal, and win-back programs.
- Use behavioral and member analytics to increase retention and lifetime value while reducing churn through personalized communications and targeted interventions.
- Partner with Marketing Analytics to establish KPIs, reporting frameworks, and performance dashboards covering engagement, conversion, retention, revenue, and profitability.
- Analyze marketing funnel performance and customer behavior trends to guide investment decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare executive-level presentations and recommendations that clearly communicate growth strategy, performance, insights, and next steps.
- Foster a high-performing culture centered on creativity, accountability, experimentation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen cross-functional relationships and contribute growth marketing expertise across the broader member engagement organization.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, demand generation, subscription marketing, or a closely related discipline.
- Proven track record of scaling subscription, membership, fitness, wellness, SaaS, healthcare, or other consumer engagement businesses.
- Strong expertise across paid media, lifecycle marketing, CRM, conversion rate optimization, marketing analytics, and performance measurement.
- Demonstrated success achieving ambitious customer acquisition, subscription, revenue, and engagement targets.
- Deep understanding of attribution models, customer journeys, marketing automation, segmentation, experimentation, and optimization methodologies.
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset, with the ability to translate customer and performance data into actionable growth strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Communications, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in fitness, health clubs, wellness, Medicare, employer health, or consumer subscription businesses is preferred.
- Experience marketing gym memberships, digital fitness products, wellness benefits, healthcare services, or comparable offerings is advantageous.
- Familiarity with platforms and tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau, Meta Ads, Google Ads, and CRM systems.
- Experience managing partnerships, referral programs, and membership-focused marketing initiatives is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex performance insights clearly to executive and cross-functional audiences.
- Highly collaborative, results-oriented, and comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
Conditions
- Salary: $88,700 – $124,200, with compensation determined by qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
