Responsibilities
Product platform: make the paved road the most secure, reliable and scalable way by default; build shared primitives, libraries and APIs; own architecture and core stack
Infrastructure, observability and reliability: infrastructure as code, provision and tune Kubernetes cluster and cloud footprint, keep CI fast, define SLIs and SLOs, high-signal alerting, drive down AI and infrastructure spend
Security and compliance: IAM, dependency management, secrets, authentication and authorization stack including ReBAC models, implement SOC 2 and ISO 27001 controls
AI dev tooling: keep engineers and their agents on the paved road, standardized automations and development environments
Requirements
Designed, built and operated distributed systems end to end
Strong at backend software engineering and DevOps/SRE
Write design docs, RFCs, ADRs, postmortems
Reach for simple, boring solutions first, tell essential complexity from accidental
Scaled Postgres or another relational transactional database under real load
Run production Kubernetes
Built observability: SLIs, SLOs, distributed tracing
