Responsibilities
- Help maintain and govern Glovo's core data tools, including Looker, defining and enforcing governance standards across the company.
- Automate manual data processes by leveraging LLMs, workflow tools like n8n and Make, and API/MCP connections.
- Contribute to monitoring GCP infrastructure usage and costs, and help define governance around cloud resources.
- Support the evolution of Looker towards conversational analytics, making data more accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
- Help build and improve the Data Support self-serve experience, enabling people across Glovo to resolve support questions by talking to an agent instead of opening a ticket.
- Proactively identify and propose improvements to how data is consumed and supported across the company.
- Work with and delegate tasks to the team's 3 interns, distributing work, giving feedback and mentoring them as they take on more complex responsibilities.
- Partner closely with senior Data Engineers on the team and with stakeholders across all business areas at Glovo, gaining broad exposure to different profiles and ways of working.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Analytics, BI, Data Engineering or a similar technical data role.
- Strong SQL foundations, with the ability to independently write, debug and optimise analytical queries.
- Working proficiency in Python to support data analysis, automation and workflow improvements.
- Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub and collaborative engineering practices (pull requests, code reviews, version control).
- Practical experience leveraging LLMs and/or automation tools (n8n, Make, APIs) to streamline processes.
- An ambitious and independent mindset, comfortable owning well-scoped tasks, while still developing towards fully independent end-to-end project ownership.
- English proficiency: Good communication in English, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
- Nice to have: Exposure to Google Cloud Platform, infrastructure/cost monitoring or governance. Exposure to Looker or other modern BI tools; interest in conversational analytics. Interest in mentoring, delegating or project management, as a possible path towards people leadership.
