This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Marketing Designer, Performance Creative (Contractor) based in United States.
Responsibilities
- Translate the brand’s creative identity into compelling paid social assets across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other paid channels.
- Own the end-to-end performance creative pipeline, including concept development, design, motion production, iteration, and optimization.
- Build and maintain a creative roadmap that prioritizes new concepts, testing opportunities, creative iterations, and areas for further development.
- Partner closely with performance marketing teams to incorporate campaign data, audience insights, channel feedback, and performance results into creative decisions.
- Develop engaging hooks, formats, visual treatments, animations, and concepts designed to capture attention and drive meaningful user action.
- Use AI-assisted creative tools to expand production capabilities while establishing practical workflows and guardrails that maintain brand consistency and quality.
- Develop scalable production processes and creative workflows that increase output without compromising visual standards.
- Help shape the first impression potential users have of the product by creating distinctive, engaging content that attracts and inspires new audiences.
- Contribute to the evolution of performance creative strategy and, as the team grows, potentially mentor or manage other creative contributors.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in performance creative, paid social design, growth-focused creative, or a related role within consumer technology, direct-to-consumer, or growth-stage environments.
- Strong hybrid design capabilities, combining excellent static graphic design fundamentals with demonstrated motion design and animation skills.
- A portfolio showcasing paid social creative across both static and motion formats, with clear evidence of strong visual craft and performance-oriented thinking.
- Expert-level proficiency with Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and After Effects.
- Strong understanding of paid social creative principles, including hooks, platform-specific formats, creative conventions, testing, iteration, and performance optimization.
- Ability to quickly understand and extend an established visual identity into new creative formats while preserving brand recognition and consistency.
- Strong creative judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to balance experimentation with high-quality execution.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with performance marketing and other cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using generative AI tools for image, video, copy, or other creative production workflows is a strong advantage.
- Background in music, entertainment, creator-focused products, or consumer media is a plus.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior creative professionals is a plus.
