Responsibilities
- Define and own the end-to-end technical architecture for all reusable assets and solutions developed by the R&D team
- Establish architectural standards, patterns, and best practices to guide the development team
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and platforms to meet project requirements and long-term business goals
- Mentor engineers and the Development Manager on complex technical challenges and architectural principles
- Lead design reviews and ensure that all solutions align with the defined architecture and security standards
- Collaborate with Product Management to assess the technical feasibility of new ideas and contribute to the R&D roadmap
- Prototype and spike new technologies and approaches to de-risk projects and drive innovation
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership or architect role
- Expert-level knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and distributed systems
- Deep-seated experience designing and building applications using multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, C#/.NET) and front-end frameworks (e.g., React)
- Extensive experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and designing cloud-native solutions
- Proven ability to think strategically and create a long-term technical vision
- Strong understanding of security best practices and identity concepts (IAM, OAuth, SAML)
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills
