Responsibilities
- Design and operate VxLAN/EVPN-based datacenter fabrics across multiple PoPs
- Manage and maintain Palo Alto firewall infrastructure
- Architect and maintain BGP-based WAN routing
- Troubleshoot complex, multi-layer network issues
- Develop and maintain network automation tooling using Python, Ansible, or similar
- Evaluate emerging network technologies and lead proof-of-concept efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Mentor junior network engineers
- Participate in on-call rotation and perform scheduled maintenance
- Contribute to network documentation and post-incident reviews
- Support vendor relationships and hardware procurement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in service provider network infrastructure
- Production experience with VxLAN/EVPN datacenter fabrics
- Production experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls
- Expert-level understanding of BGP, OSPF, and MPLS
- Strong understanding of datacenter networking concepts
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python preferred)
- Strong communication skills
Bonus Points
- Industry certifications: CCIE, JNCIE, PCNSE
- Experience with Cisco ASR/NCS or Juniper MX/SRX
- Experience with ACI, NSX, or other SDN platforms
- Exposure to AI-assisted network operations
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Ansible, Terraform)
- Familiarity with NetBox
