DevOps Engineer

• Velmie is looking for a DevOps Engineer contractor.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of GitOps (using FluxCD).
• Proficiency with Docker and Containers.
• Proficiency with Helm.
• Cloud architecture expertise, particularly with AWS, Azure, or GCP (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools.
• Microservice deployment and REST API experience.
• Ability to work with a wide range of open-source technologies.
• A flexible mindset and ability to adapt to changing conditions.
• A background in software engineering is a plus.
• Infrastructure as a code knowledge using Terraform, being familiar with Terragrunt is a plus.
• English level B1+.

Responsibilities

• Automate software as a service workloads across multiple cloud platforms (mostly on AWS).
• Design and execute builds, deployments, and configuration management strategies.
• Develop and refine automated infrastructure provisioning tools.
• Take charge of code and infrastructure deployments across all environments.
• Analyze metrics and identify ways to enhance performance and reduce costs.
• Share innovative ideas to improve delivery processes.
• Maintain and monitor configuration standards, as well as CI/CD tools.
• Update and document processes and procedures.
• Continuously improve infrastructure and application deployment.
