Responsibilities
- Provide technical consulting and product guidance to banks and other partners integrating Wise, primarily post-sale
- Ensure partners deliver the best integration within their constraints for an excellent customer experience
- Assist partners in the implementation phase, defining technical solutions and documenting requirements
- Support business development by aiding larger partners requiring novel features, including technical scoping and feature design
- Participate in feature definition, prioritisation, and long-term strategy planning with the Wise Platform team
- Collaborate with Implementation Managers, Product Managers, and Engineers
- Design and develop new features for Wise services and expose them on the public API
- Work on scaling Wise Platform into new regions
- Improve integration experience through documentation, APIs, SDKs, code samples, and reference implementations
- Troubleshoot, test, and resolve technical issues
Requirements
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, able to handle ambiguity and competing priorities
- Familiarity with common design patterns and architectural principles, including domain-driven design (DDD), event-driven architecture (EDA), and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with Java (Spring), Kubernetes, AWS, and service mesh architectures and technologies such as RESTful APIs, API design, Swagger, OpenAPI, and OAuth2
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
- At least 6+ years in customer-facing engineering roles, ideally within financial services
- Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Customer centric approach
- Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Conditions
- Compensation: USD 180,000 - 230,000 yearly
- Travel to work with teams in Tallinn, London, and New York, as well as visit partners across North America
