Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to deliver solutions for modernizing legacy SQL-based applications and migrating them to MongoDB
- Apply knowledge of Java (or similar programming languages) and relational databases to support customer projects
- Follow and contribute to best practice playbooks for migrations and modern application development
- Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, especially MongoDB, GenAI tools, and cloud architectures
- Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives
- Support debugging and performance optimization tasks during projects
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in software development
- Core programming concepts specific to Java
- Relational databases and SQL, including basic stored procedures
- Application debugging and performance tuning
- Exposure to enterprise application architectures such as Spring Boot or Hibernate
- Experience working in Agile teams, with familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
- Strong communication skills
Nice to have
- Familiarity with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases
- Basic knowledge of GenAI tools and APIs (e.g., OpenAI GPT models)
- Exposure to Python
- Basic understanding of cloud-native development concepts (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, or microservices)
- Hands-on experience with ORMs like Hibernate or JPA
