This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Art Director based in United States.
Responsibilities
- Independently conceptualize, develop, and execute digital creative content based on strategic direction, taking projects from initial concepts through final completion.
- Partner with senior art staff, copywriters, account teams, and other stakeholders to develop strong concepts, layouts, and creative solutions for client, internal, and new business initiatives.
- Prepare detailed layouts, storyboards, formatted content, and presentation-ready creative materials.
- Coordinate with internal studio and art teams as well as external suppliers and freelancers to ensure high-quality production of creative assets.
- Work closely with editorial and project management teams to keep projects on schedule, within scope, and aligned with established deadlines.
- Manage multiple creative assignments simultaneously, prioritizing effectively while maintaining strong attention to detail and quality under tight timelines.
- Lead and mentor entry-level designers and art directors, allocating resources appropriately and engaging freelance support when needed.
- Monitor the quality of creative output across projects, providing constructive direction and maintaining high visual and strategic standards.
- Present creative concepts and recommendations in client meetings when required, communicating the rationale and strategic thinking behind the work.
- Foster positive, collaborative relationships across creative, account management, editorial, project management, and other agency functions.
- Perform additional creative and leadership responsibilities as needed to support team and business objectives.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of creative or creative management experience, ideally within a digital agency environment.
- A strong digital portfolio demonstrating high-quality creative work; pharmaceutical marketing experience is preferred.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical device marketing is highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Proficiency in Sketch and advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong conceptual, visual storytelling, typography, composition, and creative execution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret strategic direction, develop ideas independently, and translate concepts into polished final deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage several projects under demanding deadlines.
- A self-motivated, professional, and detail-oriented approach, combined with a commitment to quality and strong customer service.
- Experience mentoring or providing creative direction to junior designers or art directors is valuable.
Conditions
- Base salary of $90,000–$100,000 per year.
