Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic and promotional marketing plans for oncology programs, supporting anticipated product launches and in-line business objectives.
- Help shape launch strategy and ensure brand plans align with broader portfolio and commercial priorities.
- Apply a deep understanding of oncology customers—including healthcare providers, key opinion leaders, patients, allied health professionals, and market access stakeholders—to inform brand strategy and customer behavior initiatives.
- Lead the development and implementation of promotional materials and customer-facing content across key audiences and multiple channels.
- Use customer and market insights to inform segmentation, targeting, channel mix, and omnichannel engagement strategies.
- Contribute to cross-functional launch-readiness workstreams and provide a commercial marketing perspective across clinical, medical affairs, market access, and related initiatives.
- Maintain strong awareness of disease-state, competitive, and market dynamics, identifying opportunities to adapt strategic and tactical approaches.
- Partner with Analytics & Insights to shape market research, establish performance metrics, and evaluate marketing effectiveness.
- Manage agency-of-record relationships, workflows, budgets, and external agency deliverables.
- Ensure marketing activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
- Manage marketing operating expenses within established budgets and priorities.
- Represent the organization professionally with external healthcare stakeholders, conferences, and other industry audiences.
- Travel as needed for meetings, conferences, and other business activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, with at least 5 years of progressive commercial experience within the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry, including strategic and omnichannel marketing.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing successful commercial marketing initiatives, preferably within oncology.
- Strong understanding of healthcare customers and the ability to translate market, customer, and competitive insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Proven leadership and cross-functional influence skills, with the ability to build alignment and drive initiatives across organizational levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop innovative approaches.
- Excellent project organization and prioritization skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver results within established timelines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, combined with a professional, proactive, and collaborative approach.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating in an environment characterized by ambiguity, change, and rapid growth.
- Passion for improving outcomes for cancer patients and the ability to represent the organization effectively with external stakeholders.
- An MBA is preferred.
- Experience with product launches and direct customer engagement is preferred.
- Experience marketing targeted oncology products is highly valued.
- Experience working in a smaller, rapidly growing biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment is a plus.
Conditions
- Base salary: $150,000–$189,000 USD, with actual compensation adjusted based on role, location, experience, skills, education, and market factors.
