Responsibilities
- Drive day to day analytics and create scalable data tools.
- Architect, build, and launch efficient & reliable new data models and pipelines in partnership with Data Engineering.
- Design, define, and implement metrics and dimensions to enable analysis.
- Continue to enhance our understanding and measurement of the tools used by our partners, with a focus on driving higher host activation within partner buildings.
- Work closely with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists and other cross functional teams to build a scalable and unified attribution and measurement platform for understanding impact of product, sales and marketing efforts.
- Collaborate closely with Business Leads to design, implement, and assess offline experiments, including A/B tests and other quasi-experimental techniques.
- Empower the team to answer data questions quickly and easily by building high-quality ground truth data sets and dashboards.
Requirements
- 5+ years in industry experience and a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research).
- Expert communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams in a cross-cultural and cross-functional environment.
- Ability to conduct rigorous statistical analysis to inform business decision and communicate conclusions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience partnering with internal teams to drive action and providing expertise and direction on analytics, experimental design, and measurement.
- Experience designing and building metrics, from conception to building prototypes with data pipelines.
- Strong knowledge in SQL and distributed system optimization (e.g. Spark, Presto, Hive).
- Expert in at least one programming language for data analysis (e.g. Python, R).
- Experience with Tableau strongly preferred.
Conditions
- This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
- Pay Range: $136,000 — $160,000 USD.
