About the company
Esri's global geocoding solutions support key challenges such as locating addresses and places on a map, discovering what's at a known location, or adding location information to large tables of records. You'll work alongside product engineers, developers, and users to create location-based APIs, geocoding services, and enhancements to Esri software in mobile, desktop, server, and online environments. Relocation assistance to the Redlands, CA area is available.
Responsibilities
- Write scalable, reusable, and maintainable code
- Develop advanced search algorithms for finding the best candidate amongst billions of candidate records
- Design and implement efficient data formats and structures for large amounts of spatially enabled data optimized for rapid search
- Optimize existing and new C++ code to reduce memory consumption and increase performance and scalability
Requirements
- 5+ years of related software development experience
- Strong development skills in C++ (C++11 and higher, STL, Boost, Clang, MSVC) and/or Rust
- Strong background in algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, GIS, or related field

- Base salary range: $123,136 – $202,488 USD
