Responsibilities
- Serve as the senior technical owner of the B2B marketing technology stack, from solution design through delivery, adoption, and ongoing support.
- Lead requirements gathering with Marketing Operations, Sales Operations, Sales Technology, and Data partners.
- Configure and extend the marketing automation platform (HubSpot) across workflows, forms, lead scoring, and custom objects.
- Own the marketing technology roadmap and architecture, including lead and account data model, enrichment and routing logic, and integrations.
- Own the tracking and instrumentation layer, including tag management, site and campaign tracking.
- Own the lead lifecycle systems, partnering with Sales Operations and Sales Technology.
- Identify where AI can improve the stack and lead evaluation, adoption, and rollout.
- Assess the stack against target state and introduce new tools.
- Set the technical standard through design review and documentation.
- Maintain platform reliability by monitoring performance and email deliverability.
- Own governance and controls for marketing data.
- Own the marketing tool portfolio and budget.
- Serve as the technical expert and escalation point.
- Partner with marketing leaders on prioritization and mentor engineers.
- Communicate marketing technology strategy to partner teams and senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years in marketing technology, marketing operations engineering, or business systems role, including 3+ years leading solution design and delivery.
- 5+ years hands-on administration of B2B marketing automation platform (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, or Eloqua) with active certification.
- Hands-on depth in at least two platform categories beyond marketing automation.
- 3+ years hands-on in Salesforce or equivalent CRM, and 3+ delivered integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, or middleware.
- Experience with tag management and web/campaign tracking instrumentation.
- Led end-to-end delivery of at least 2 large cross-functional marketing technology programs.
- Experience providing technical direction to engineers, contractors, or implementation partners.
- Strong understanding of B2B demand generation and lead-to-opportunity workflows.
- Ability to communicate technical direction to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with marketing data quality, consent and subscription management, and email/privacy compliance (CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR) is highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud data platform such as Databricks or Snowflake, and SQL, is a plus.
