Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. The Global Safety, Intelligence, and Security (GSIS) organization is seeking a Physical Security Design Lead and Contract Document Specialist.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance the contract document basis of design (BOD)
- Author and evolve design templates (drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, riser diagrams) for access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems
- Serve as contract-document subject matter expert: review design consultant deliverables (SD/DD/CD/RIBA stage packages) for accuracy and alignment with BOD
- Support bid, construction, and operational handover phases through specification clarifications, RFI responses, submittal review, shop-drawing back-checks
- Partner with GSIS, Real Estate/Workplace, Network Team, design consultants, and security integrators
- Maintain the GSIS design library under version control with change-management and tracking logs
- Implement automations and AI-assisted workflows, BIM add-ins, web-based utilities, and data-processing tools
Requirements
- Minimum 6+ years of design engineering experience with ownership of contract document development for physical security and/or low-voltage systems
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Core technical expertise in access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems
- Strong understanding of A/E deliverables and phases (SD/DD/CD, RIBA Stages), CSI-format specifications, equipment schedules, and construction administration submittal processes
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement internal tools (web applications, BIM add-ins, scripting/automation)
- Familiarity with Revit API, BIM workflows, version control, and modern AI-assisted development tools
- Familiarity with Apple OS, Google Suite, Bluebeam, Revit/AutoCAD, Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project, Procore, PlanGrid, Autodesk Construction Cloud
Conditions
- Annual salary: $180,000 - $230,000 USD
- Remote-friendly with travel required; locations: Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, New York City, Washington DC
