Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable enterprise application platforms across hybrid and cloud environments.
  • Own and evolve the organization’s CI/CD technology stack, establishing best practices for continuous integration, continuous delivery, testing, packaging, deployment, and version control.
  • Build self-service tooling and automation that enables engineering teams to provision, configure, deploy, and scale infrastructure efficiently.
  • Partner with infrastructure teams to automate environment setup and infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, configuration management, and related technologies.
  • Architect, provision, monitor, and maintain AWS resources while supporting cloud, hybrid, and on-premises hosting strategies.
  • Design and improve monitoring, alerting, observability, and operational processes to strengthen platform reliability and incident response.
  • Automate security activities, including code scanning, package scanning, vulnerability detection, and other controls designed to identify and mitigate technology risks.
  • Develop automated testing, deployment validation, code-versioning workflows, and GitHub Actions to improve software quality and release confidence.
  • Define development, testing, release, update, and support processes in collaboration with technical teams across the organization.
  • Manage and optimize container platforms using Docker and Kubernetes while supporting modern application delivery practices.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to establish DevOps execution strategies for individual projects and enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Research and recommend emerging technologies, solutions, protocols, and standards to modernize the enterprise CI/CD platform.
  • Develop and maintain service-hosting decision frameworks that help determine when workloads should run on-premises, in hybrid environments, or in the cloud.
  • Provide technical leadership across multiple projects and teams, balancing independent execution with collaborative delivery.
  • Support mission-critical systems on a 24/7 basis when required and contribute to continuous improvement of platform reliability and operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technology discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 18–20 years of overall experience in technology-related roles, including 8–10 years focused on infrastructure, DevOps, CI/CD, or large-scale technology transformation.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Python, and scripting languages.
  • Strong expertise in CI/CD and DevOps tooling, including repositories, packaging, testing, code scanning, package scanning, and deployment technologies such as Maven, Gradle, Helm, and Sonatype.
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS and cloud platforms, Linux operating systems, networking, databases, and modern enterprise application environments.
  • Experience designing and implementing automation and Infrastructure as Code across complex technology environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence, with the ability to operate effectively across both Agile and traditional project teams.
  • Knowledge of web application development and the ability to collaborate closely with application engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to modernize technology platforms, improve delivery processes, and introduce new tools and practices at enterprise scale.
  • Strong understanding of security considerations within DevOps environments, including vulnerability identification, automated scanning, and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including the ability to attract, retain, mentor, and develop engineering talent.
  • Self-motivated, initiative-driven, curious, and comfortable asking questions and exploring new technologies.
  • Action-oriented mindset with a willingness to experiment, learn from mistakes, and continuously improve.
  • DevOps engineering certification is preferred.
