Responsibilities
- Lead the development, coordination, and production of proposal materials throughout the full pursuit process.
- Drive large, strategic, and complex pursuits from initial proposal coordination through interview stages, including contributing to visual themes and strategic messaging.
- Develop creative ideas and compelling content for proposals, presentations, interviews, and other business development materials.
- Partner with marketing colleagues, business development professionals, client leaders, and other stakeholders to develop pursuit strategies designed to secure new opportunities.
- Create and update resumes, portfolio pages, presentations, collateral, and related marketing materials while maintaining established brand standards.
- Support the development of marketing collateral for markets, offices, and service areas.
- Conduct marketing research to support broader market and office strategies as well as individual clients and pursuits.
- Lead local and regional brand-building initiatives, including sponsorships, award submissions, events, photography, and related activities.
- Support activities designed to strengthen brand visibility and complement broader communications and public relations objectives.
- Develop strong knowledge of the organization’s portfolio, people, capabilities, markets, and offerings.
- Build subject matter expertise across relevant markets, industries, services, technologies, and other areas that can strengthen marketing and pursuit initiatives.
- Support the training and ongoing development of Marketing Specialists in partnership with the Regional Marketing Team Leader.
- Provide peer review and quality oversight to ensure marketing content is accurate, consistent, and polished.
- Maintain accurate client and pursuit information in VantagePoint and ensure proposal filing systems are properly organized and up to date.
- Apply established marketing best practices and contribute to continuous improvements in team processes and operations.
- Participate in external marketing activities and take on additional responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in marketing or communications, preferably within a professional services environment; 7+ years is preferred.
- Experience working in marketing or communications for a professional services organization is required.
- Experience in the architecture, engineering, and/or construction industry is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage large, complex pursuits from start to finish while balancing multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking, writing, design, and communication capabilities, with the ability and interest to further develop expertise in at least one of these areas.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Deltek VantagePoint and Miro is a plus.
- Strong project and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Highly proactive, self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, with a genuine enthusiasm for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strong attention to accuracy and quality across written, visual, and presentation materials.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across marketing, business development, communications, creative, client engagement, and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to coordinate complex projects and work with senior stakeholders.
Conditions
- Annual base salary of $69,200–$86,500 USD, with actual compensation varying based on geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
