Our partner is looking for a Director of Inventory Partnerships (AdTech) based in India. This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps.
Responsibilities
- Own and develop the overall inventory partnerships strategy, establishing the function and operating model from the ground up.
- Analyze traffic and supply coming into the DSP through SSPs and exchanges, identifying opportunities to improve inventory quality, scale, brand safety, and supply efficiency.
- Develop strategies to increase access to premium inventory, curated marketplaces, and high-value supply sources aligned with advertiser demand.
- Build, manage, and expand strategic relationships with SSPs, exchanges, premium publishers, and media owners.
- Negotiate and manage inventory agreements, including Private Marketplace (PMP) and Programmatic Guaranteed deals.
- Identify new publisher and supply opportunities based on advertiser requirements, campaign objectives, and marketplace dynamics.
- Work closely with Product and Go-to-Market teams to organize inventory across 38 categories and develop compelling inventory packages, bundles, and libraries.
- Help establish and evolve a dedicated inventory go-to-market motion, supporting the commercialization of inventory through the platform.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to package premium inventory and support client-facing opportunities and key advertiser deals.
- Collaborate with Ad Operations and Product teams to investigate and resolve inventory, bidstream, and campaign-delivery issues.
- Monitor programmatic supply trends, emerging inventory sources, CTV opportunities, curated marketplaces, and changes in marketplace dynamics.
- Provide market intelligence and recommendations on new supply partnerships, channels, and inventory strategies.
- Use bidstream data and supply metrics to evaluate performance and guide inventory optimization decisions.
- As the function grows, develop the organizational structure and eventually build and lead an inventory partnerships team.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in programmatic advertising, DSP or SSP partnerships, publisher partnerships, or a closely related AdTech environment.
- Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, ad exchanges, PMPs, Programmatic Guaranteed deals, and supply paths.
- Proven experience negotiating, establishing, and managing inventory partnerships with SSPs, publishers, or media owners.
- Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret bidstream data, supply metrics, traffic patterns, and inventory performance.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and develop high-quality supply opportunities that align with advertiser demand.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to connect supply strategy to sales objectives and broader go-to-market initiatives.
- Familiarity with OpenRTB, programmatic supply paths, and marketplace dynamics is a plus.
- Experience working at a DSP, SSP, ad exchange, or programmatic media company is highly desirable.
- Existing relationships with SSPs, premium publishers, or media owners are a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of CTV, mobile, and web inventory ecosystems is preferred.
- Comfortable operating as a founding functional leader with a high degree of autonomy, ownership, and hands-on involvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Ad Operations teams in a fast-paced environment.
