BeyondTrust is a cybersecurity SaaS company creating a safer world through its identity security portfolio. The team builds and supports the Secure Remote Access suite, owning the appliance base operating system, the build and release pipeline, and the cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for complex client/server enterprise applications
- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
- Collaborate with team members, teams, and stakeholders on feature design and product direction
- Work with Quality Assurance personnel in creating test cases and documentation
- Scope assigned projects/tasks and provide accurate time estimates
- Investigate, troubleshoot and triage complex, code-related technical issues, gather product feedback, implement code fixes and build patches
- Build, package, sign, and release appliance images and software updates for on-premises and cloud deployments
- Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure including compute, DNS, storage, and key management
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Proficient with the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Extensive knowledge working in Unix/Linux environments
- Experience with Python and PHP
- Experience with Laravel or a comparable MVC framework, and maintaining large legacy code
- Hands-on experience with AWS, including EC2, Route 53, S3, IAM, and KMS
- Experience with Database design and administration
- Unit testing
- Experience using Agile methodologies
- Solid understanding of modern design patterns
- Good understanding of network security and encryption
- Solid English written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have
- Strong focus on secure coding and security best practices (TLS, cryptography)
- Experience with Terraform and AWS Lambda
- Experience with X.509 certificates, SAML, and OAuth2
- Experience developing applications that run at scale
- Experience building/debugging Linux kernel
