About the company

We’re on a mission to make money work for everyone. We’re waving goodbye to the complicated and confusing ways of traditional banking. After starting as a prepaid card, our product offering has grown a lot in the last 10 years in the UK. We’re not about selling products - we want to solve problems and change lives through Monzo.

Responsibilities
  • Set the strategy for Flex, one of Monzo’s most important revenue-driving products.
  • Identify and unlock new commercial opportunities across customer segments.
  • Navigate complex trade-offs between growth, risk, and customer outcomes.
  • Work closely with Credit teams to shape propositions across multiple risk segments and cohorts.
  • Interrogate performance deeply — from unit economics to long-term profitability curves.
  • Ensure Flex remains rooted in strong customer outcomes, not just revenue.
  • Push for simple, transparent, and delightful experiences.
  • Manage and develop a team of Product Managers.
  • Deliver multiple high-impact initiatives through your direct reports.
  • Raise the bar on product thinking and foster a culture of high standard and high velocity.
Requirements
  • Strong commercial instinct — you think in terms of trade-offs, economics, and outcomes.
  • Comfortable operating in complex environments (e.g. multiple segments and cohorts with different commercials).
  • Able to engage deeply with Credit and Data partners.
  • Experience in lending, credit cards, or adjacent borrowing products.
  • You start with the customer and never lose track of their needs.
  • Willing to challenge revenue-driven decisions when they conflict with good customer outcomes.
  • Strong product taste and care deeply about experience quality.
  • Proven ability to deliver in fast-paced environments with multiple workstreams.
  • Comfortable going deep in the detail while leading through others.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership across technical, credit, and governance stakeholders.
Conditions
  • Base salary dependent upon experience + Stock Options + Benefits.
  • We can help you relocate to the UK.
  • We can sponsor visas.
  • This role can be based in our London office, but we're open to distributed working within the UK (with ad hoc meetings in London).
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Learning budget of £1,000 a year for books, training courses and conferences.
