Responsibilities
- Own the operational health, reliability, security and continual improvement of customer public and hybrid cloud services
- Operate and maintain services across major public cloud platforms: compute, storage, networking, identity, security, monitoring, backup and recovery
- Support hybrid cloud environments connecting public cloud with on-premises datacentres, private cloud, edge locations and legacy systems
- Apply and improve cloud governance controls: policy, access management, configuration standards, compliance monitoring, cost oversight
- Develop and maintain automation and infrastructure-as-code
- Act as senior technical escalation point for complex incidents and service failures
- Identify root causes, recurring failures, configuration drift, capacity constraints and technical debt
- Plan and implement controlled platform changes
- Support onboarding and service transition, provide technical leadership and mentoring
Requirements
- Typically 5+ years' experience in enterprise IT operations, managed services, consultancy or complex in-house environments
- Relevant professional certifications across major public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) at administrator, engineer, security, networking or architect level
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent service-management qualification
- Strong knowledge of public, private and hybrid cloud architectures
- Experience supporting hybrid environments
- Strong understanding of cloud governance
- Proven ability to diagnose complex service issues
- Experience with observability platforms and cloud-native telemetry
- Practical experience with automation, scripting and IaC: PowerShell, Bash, Python, Terraform or provider-native frameworks
- Strong managed service capability and mentoring skills
