The role is working within our studio: Belka Games. Belka Games is a game development company. Responsibilities
- Design and develop gameplay systems and features for new game prototypes.
- Work on core gameplay, progression, balance, and early meta systems.
- Create and maintain game design documentation (concept docs, GDDs, feature specs).
- Analyze gameplay problems and propose solutions to improve player experience and engagement.
- Participate in prototyping and iteration processes together with the R&D team.
- Design and tune game balance, rewards, pacing, and progression.
- Work with product metrics and formulate gameplay hypotheses.
- Collaborate closely with game designers, producers, artists, and developers during early production stages.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Game Designer.
- Experience in hyper-casual, hybrid-casual, or puzzle games.
- Participation in developing games or prototypes from scratch (R&D / pre-production).
- Experience working on at least 5 game projects or prototypes.
- Experience creating and maintaining game design documentation.
- Understanding of gameplay systems, progression, balancing, and player motivation.
- Strong knowledge of the mobile games market and current genre trends.
- Ability to clearly communicate ideas and work in a fast iteration environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Russian and English - must have.
