Responsibilities
- Own competitive positioning strategy and execution for the IT segment, directing analysis, messaging, and content to give sellers the counter-arguments they need to win deals.
- Translate Competitive Intelligence's research into seller-ready assets — battlecards, objection handling, rapid-response content.
- Partner with sales leadership and Competitive Intelligence to run structured win/loss reviews that surface what's actually working against named competitors.
- Direct the flow of field intelligence back into systems that ensure competitive grounding stays current and actionable for AI tooling.
Requirements
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
- 12+ years of relevant experience, with a track record in competitive intelligence, competitive marketing, or product marketing against named competitors.
- Natural empathy for, and understanding of, the pressure sellers are under in a live competitive deal.
- The ability to build sharp, defensible counter-positioning — sourced and substantiated, not aspirational.
- Creative messaging skills based on value and benefits, applied under time pressure.
- Passion about ServiceNow's products and the competitive fights that define the IT space.
- Experience running structured win/loss programs or comparable qualitative research with sales teams.
- The ability to summarize field signal into a content roadmap Competitive Intelligence and PSM can act on.
Conditions
- Base pay of $148,900 - $232,700, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits.
