This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Business Process Analyst based in the United States.
The Senior Business Process Analyst will play a key role in driving efficient project delivery and operational excellence across complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day project management activities, including schedule development, milestone tracking, dependency management, risk identification, and issue mitigation.
- Maintain project plans, dashboards, status reports, delivery roadmaps, and other reporting tools to provide stakeholders with clear visibility into progress and commitments.
- Track work across multiple Scrum and Kanban teams using Jira, ensuring planned, active, and completed work remain aligned with delivery objectives.
- Follow up consistently on action items, deliverables, blockers, dependencies, and stakeholder requests to maintain delivery momentum.
- Establish repeatable project workflows, documentation standards, and governance practices that improve consistency and operational efficiency.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support teams in removing impediments, improving communication, and maintaining alignment with sprint goals and delivery priorities.
- Monitor Agile delivery metrics such as velocity, burndown, capacity, and workflow health, proactively addressing risks that could affect timelines or outcomes.
- Manage Jira boards, workflows, tasks, queries, and reporting structures to improve project transparency and team efficiency.
- Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements with stakeholders, translating them into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Map and analyze end-to-end business processes to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, reengineering, and improved operational performance.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, technical teams, analysts, and operations professionals to ensure requirements are understood and delivered accurately.
- Maintain structured and traceable project documentation in Confluence, linking requirements, development activities, reporting, and delivery artifacts.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to support project tracking, workflow automation, documentation maintenance, reporting, and coordination across multiple initiatives.
- Provide clear project updates, identify emerging risks and dependencies, and support stakeholders in making informed delivery decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in project management, business analysis, Agile delivery, or a closely related field; the broader role profile calls for 5+ years of related experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing project schedules, tracking delivery milestones, coordinating dependencies, and monitoring risks and issues.
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business requirements and translating them into user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable deliverables.
- Hands-on experience working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and/or Kanban, and facilitating core Agile ceremonies.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence for project tracking, workflow management, requirements traceability, reporting, and documentation.
- Strong analytical and process-improvement skills, with the ability to evaluate existing workflows and identify opportunities for greater efficiency and automation.
- Familiarity with project management and delivery concepts, including roadmaps, sprint metrics, capacity, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to use AI tools effectively to enhance project coordination, documentation, tracking, and operational workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex project information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and competing priorities.
- Strong collaboration and facilitation skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- The position requires the ability to satisfy a BI Full 6C (T4) Public Trust requirement; no security clearance is currently required or obtainable for this role.
- Familiarity with refugee and immigrant populations, social programs, ITIL, or other process improvement frameworks is preferred.
- Experience integrating business and operational data into Jira and Confluence for traceability, reporting, and workflow automation is an advantage.
Conditions
- Salary: Estimated range of $102,000–$138,000 annually, with actual compensation determined by experience, geographic location, and applicable contractual requirements.
