Our partner is looking for a Senior European Credit Research Analyst based in India. This is a senior research role focused on European credit markets, fundamental company analysis, and actionable investment insights.
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed bottoms-up research on European companies by reviewing earnings releases, investor presentations, regulatory filings, and other relevant sources.
- Moderate expert-led teleconferences on timely market and company topics, helping produce actionable insights for institutional investment and private equity clients.
- Collaborate with AI-focused teams to systematize diligence questions and identify opportunities to automate elements of fundamental investment research.
- Generate investment ideas and monitor key investor views, themes, and developments across relevant European credit strategies.
- Apply a fundamental research approach focused on individual companies and their business, financial, and credit characteristics.
- Engage confidently with industry and investment professionals across seniority levels to gather insights and facilitate high-quality research discussions.
- Contribute to a research environment that combines primary expert insights, proprietary content, and technology-enabled workflows.
- Manage multiple research priorities efficiently while maintaining a high standard of analytical quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
Requirements
- 7+ years of deep fundamental investment research experience, ideally gained in a private equity or similarly rigorous investment environment.
- Proven experience conducting bottoms-up fundamental research focused on individual companies rather than solely macro or sector-level analysis.
- Prior coverage of single-name corporate issuers on either the buy-side or sell-side.
- Familiarity with capital structure and credit analysis, particularly through experience in broadly syndicated loans, private credit, or direct lending markets.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Exceptional professional-level written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate complex investment concepts clearly.
- Strong analytical skills and intellectual curiosity, with a genuine interest in learning and understanding businesses and credit markets.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with autonomy and evolving priorities.
- Outgoing and confident communication style, with the ability to build relationships and interact effectively with professionals at all levels.
- Strong time-management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.
