Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve Affirm's lakehouse analytics platform.
- Design and implement RBAC and dynamic data masking in Snowflake.
- Lead technical direction of analytics engineering practices.
- Drive data governance and privacy engineering initiatives.
- Identify and execute cost optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with product engineering, data science, and BI teams.
- Establish best practices for lakehouse operations.
- Mentor engineers.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering or data engineering.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Strong experience with Apache Iceberg, Spark, and AWS (S3, EKS).
- Experience with dbt, data modeling, and data governance tools like Atlan.
