About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to join a growing cybersecurity function focused on modernizing enterprise risk management.
The position plays a critical role in identifying, analyzing, and reducing security exposure across complex network environments.
You will act as a subject matter expert, helping teams move beyond traditional vulnerability management toward proactive risk reduction.
By analyzing attack paths, network configurations, and security signals, you will enable faster and more effective remediation efforts.
The role combines deep technical expertise with cross-functional collaboration across security and engineering teams.
You will contribute to improving resilience, strengthening defenses, and reducing opportunities for attackers to exploit enterprise infrastructure.
Accountabilities
- Analyze and prioritize security exposure data, translating technical findings into clear risk narratives and remediation recommendations.
- Identify complex attack paths involving network controls, access points, trust boundaries, and infrastructure configurations.
- Provide actionable intelligence to remediation teams and validate resolution of identified security issues when possible.
- Own subject matter expertise for network exposure areas, including firewalls, access control lists (ACLs), segmentation, VPNs, routing, load balancers, SD-WAN, and ingress/egress controls.
- Identify systemic security weaknesses such as overly permissive access rules, exposed services, weak segmentation, and insecure remote access configurations.
- Collaborate closely with network engineering teams to implement sustainable security improvements and prevent recurring issues.
- Apply continuous threat exposure management principles to improve enterprise security posture and reduce attack feasibility.
- Use security telemetry, network data, and technical analysis to support risk-based decision-making.
- Contribute to improving processes, automation, and analytical capabilities within the exposure management function.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in network security, network engineering, security operations, or exposure management.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including routing, firewalls, VPN technologies, segmentation strategies, and access controls.
- Ability to evaluate technical vulnerabilities and configuration issues, translating them into business risk and practical remediation guidance.
- Experience analyzing network traffic, telemetry data, DNS/proxy logs, firewall rules, or segmentation architectures is preferred.
- Understanding of attacker techniques related to lateral movement, perimeter exploitation, and network-based threats.
- Experience with automation and scripting tools such as Python, KQL, or equivalent technologies is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex security challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of identity management, access management, endpoint security, automation, and scripting concepts is beneficial.
Benefits
- Competitive annual compensation range of $100,000 - $170,500, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Fully remote work opportunity with a comprehensive technology setup, including laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, and mouse.
- Monthly connectivity reimbursement to support remote work expenses.
- Access to a supportive environment focused on innovation, professional growth, and meaningful cybersecurity impact.
- Opportunity to contribute to enterprise-wide security improvements and advanced exposure management initiatives.
- Comprehensive benefits package and employee support programs.
- Dedicated resources and equipment to enable successful remote collaboration.
