Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. You'll join the Finance Operational Excellence team, reporting to the Head of Finance Operational Excellence — finance transformation and AI experts working with Finance, Product, and Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Embed with Finance teams to diagnose workflows, identify high-leverage opportunities, and translate business, data, and control requirements into practical AI and automation solutions
- Build and operationalize AI agents for Finance use cases from prototype through validation, monitoring, documentation, and handoff
- Write and optimize SQL for data extraction, transformation, calculation, and validation
- Design reusable knowledge layers, evaluation methods, validation patterns, and data-quality frameworks
- Identify agentic limitations and partner with Engineering to scope and test custom tools, including Model Context Protocol
- Build alongside users, gather feedback, and iterate until the solution fits the workflow
- Enable long-term ownership through SOPs, runbooks, training, and self-service tooling
- Establish monitoring and observability for deployed agents, including metrics, alerting, and incident response
- Diagnose technical and data issues and collaborate with Engineering on deeper platform changes
- Measure adoption and impact, turn successful implementations into standards and playbooks
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, technical operations, business intelligence, automation, solutions delivery, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in program management working alongside business leaders on process transformation programs
- Hands-on experience building AI-enabled tools, agents, automations, or workflows that changed a real business process
- Strong SQL proficiency including CTEs, window functions, and joins
- Track record of independently scoping and delivering technical solutions for process improvement
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, ability to identify root causes and debug complex data problems
