  • Contribute to broader infrastructure, application, and product security initiatives, providing generalist security oversight across interconnected systems.
  • Build, deploy, and manage automated security tooling that improves vulnerability detection, analysis, and remediation.
  • Leverage AI/ML capabilities, static analysis, dynamic analysis, and other advanced automation to address scalable security challenges and reduce repetitive work.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to prioritize security investments and roadmap initiatives while balancing risk, product requirements, and development velocity.
  • Mentor security and engineering professionals, establish technical direction, and promote security best practices across the organization.
  • Balance hands-on technical execution with longer-term security strategy, helping mature security practices within a rapidly growing engineering environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of professional security engineering experience, with demonstrated Staff-level or equivalent technical leadership.
  • Broad security expertise spanning infrastructure, application, and cryptographic security domains.
  • Strong experience designing, building, deploying, and managing automated security tooling in production environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI/ML, advanced static analysis, dynamic analysis, or comparable technologies to improve security outcomes at scale.
  • Deep experience partnering with engineering teams during architecture and design to identify and mitigate high-risk security issues proactively.
  • Strong understanding of security architecture, threat identification, risk assessment, and practical remediation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence technical direction and lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ability to operate independently, navigate ambiguity, and balance tactical security work with strategic planning.
  • Strong mentoring and technical leadership capabilities, with the ability to establish standards and raise security maturity across engineering teams.
  • Preferred: Technical understanding of decentralized storage, distributed systems, blockchain, or broader Web3 technologies.
  • Preferred: Experience leading security transformations or implementing security-by-design frameworks in high-growth engineering organizations.
  • Preferred: Experience balancing hands-on security engineering with long-term security strategy and organizational leadership.
Conditions
  • Base salary: $180,000–$264,000 for US-based employees, with individual compensation determined by skills, experience, education, and relevant training.
  • Additional total compensation through tokens and equity, including eligibility for annual equity and token refresh grants.
