Responsibilities
- Build and maintain technical controls across security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and other enterprise requirements.
- Automate compliance workflows, evidence collection, access reviews, security checks, and other repetitive processes.
- Partner with Engineering and Security to implement and monitor controls around access management, infrastructure, data protection, logging, and vulnerability management.
- Support audits by owning technical evidence collection and working with auditors to address compliance requirements.
- Work with customers and internal teams to respond to security questionnaires, compliance requirements, and technical due diligence.
- Identify gaps in our compliance and security programs and build scalable systems to address them.
Requirements
- Strong technical background in software engineering, security, infrastructure, IT, or a related field.
- Interest in compliance, security, and how technology can be used to build scalable compliance programs.
- Comfortable learning new security and compliance frameworks and turning requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Bash, or a similar language.
- Understanding of security fundamentals such as IAM, encryption, networking, logging, vulnerability management, and cloud security.
- Highly analytical and enjoy solving ambiguous problems.
- Comfortable working across Engineering, Security, Legal, and customer-facing teams.
- Communicate clearly and can explain technical and compliance concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Conditions
- Full-Time or Part-Time 1099 Contractor.
- Remote.
- Compensation: $6000–$7500 USD/Month, based on experience.
- Must be open to working some overlapping hours with our Pacific Time team and customers.
