About the company

Our partner is looking for a Senior Director, FP&A based in the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-business-unit FP&A process improvement initiatives, identifying inefficiencies and inconsistencies and implementing standardized workflows, reporting structures, templates, and operating procedures.
  • Facilitate recurring process-sharing and best-practice sessions across FP&A teams, translating findings into practical recommendations and driving adoption of improved processes.
  • Enhance budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to improve transparency, accuracy, timeliness, scalability, and continuous improvement.
  • Own or contribute to strategic and ad hoc projects involving financial modeling, systems evaluations, cross-functional analysis, and operational improvements.
  • Lead complex initiatives involving business-unit finance teams, Corporate Accounting, and Corporate FP&A by establishing clear objectives, timelines, ownership, and accountability.
  • Support and progressively assume ownership of monthly consolidation of business-unit financial results, forecasts, budgets, and variance commentary into enterprise-level reporting packages.
  • Ensure consistency in financial definitions, terminology, templates, and performance metrics across business units, identifying and resolving discrepancies before executive reporting.
  • Partner with the CFO and senior FP&A leadership to develop investor updates, quarterly business review materials, and other executive-facing financial communications.
  • Support Board presentations by coordinating business-unit inputs, validating financial information, and ensuring materials are accurate, concise, and aligned with broader business messaging.
  • Assist with lender reporting packages, covenant compliance materials, and ad hoc financial analyses related to financing requirements.
  • Build trusted relationships across Corporate FP&A and multiple business-unit finance teams, influencing stakeholders and driving change without direct authority.
  • Challenge existing practices, proactively identify gaps, and develop solutions that improve financial discipline, collaboration, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality, compliance, separation-of-duties, and data-handling standards, including applicable healthcare privacy requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; an advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
  • 15+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related discipline, ideally within a multi-business-unit and/or private-equity-backed organization.
  • 8+ years of demonstrated management or leadership experience.
  • Proven experience leading or significantly contributing to enterprise-wide process improvement and change initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, pricing, and operational finance.
  • Experience supporting Board, investor, and/or lender reporting is preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel capabilities, with experience using accounting and financial systems; Oracle and Hyperion SmartView experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to transform complex financial information into concise executive-level narratives.
  • Demonstrated executive presence, including the ability to present to and influence senior decision-makers.
  • Strong stakeholder-management and influencing skills, particularly when driving change across teams without formal authority.
  • Self-directed and comfortable managing ambiguity, competing priorities, complex projects, and high-priority deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset, strong initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to challenge established processes constructively.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically as required.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; this position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Conditions
  • Base salary: $170,000–$210,000 USD, with actual compensation determined by experience, skills, qualifications, business needs, geographic location, and internal equity.
  • Potential eligibility for performance-based incentives in addition to base compensation.
  • Comprehensive benefits designed to support physical, financial, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Health insurance and other healthcare-related benefits.
  • Life insurance and company-paid disability coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement benefits.
  • 18+ days of paid time off, along with additional programs supporting work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
  • An inclusive workplace focused on collaboration, innovation, and diversity.
