Responsibilities
- Advise teams on privacy laws, with a particular emphasis on financial privacy.
- Take the lead in maintaining Chime’s privacy program to ensure it meets evolving regulatory expectations.
- Work cross-functionally to develop and help manage privacy impact assessments and ensure that privacy by design is embedded in everything Chime does.
- Work collaboratively with product counsel to advise on privacy aspects of product design.
- Develop and conduct both general and role-specific privacy trainings.
- Support Chime’s security team, including by supporting scenario planning exercises and advising on reportability of incidents.
- Stay abreast of regulatory and industry trends in privacy and security laws.
- Help maintain and update privacy and security policies and notices.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in-house, with an emphasis on helping build or maintain privacy and security programs.
- Interest in, and experience advising on, AI enablement and governance.
- Experience advising a security team on best practices and preparedness.
- Proven track record leading a team.
- Ability to translate legal and regulatory expectations into actionable, pragmatic guidance.
- Experience helping to craft privacy policies and procedures for business teams.
- Flexibility in managing shifting priorities.
- Outstanding professional judgment and excellent communication and drafting skills.
- Comfort with advising senior business leaders (including executive-level management).
