Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end quality across the product surface.
- Build and deploy real assistants on Vapi, run live calls and simulations across provider integrations.
- Ship Playwright tests against the dashboard.
- File bugs that engineers fix and develop a point of view on coverage weaknesses.
- Own release testing for at least one major product area.
- Improve automated coverage in your area.
- Partner with engineers on test strategy for new features.
- Use AI coding agents to multiply throughput on test scenarios.
- Operate as a full peer to engineers, owning QA across the product surface.
- Extend testing practices and contribute patterns for the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years in QA, SDET, Test Engineering, or product engineering with strong testing focus.
- Hands-on with at least one modern e2e framework — Playwright preferred; Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent fine.
- Comfortable reading and writing TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Track record testing complex, distributed systems with real failure modes.
- Daily use of AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar).
- Self-directed, strong written communication, customer empathy, bias for action.
- Nice-to-have: background in voice AI, conversational AI, LLM applications, or telephony; experience with LLM evals; developer-facing product experience; early-stage startup experience; open-source contributions.
