Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development and evolution of life insurance products, including Whole Life, Permanent Life, Term, Indexed Universal Life, Final Expense, Disability Insurance, and insurance riders.
- Partner closely with insurance carriers to develop, launch, integrate, and optimize new products within the broader product ecosystem.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, data science, internal stakeholders, and third-party partners to improve the full life insurance lifecycle.
- Help define product strategy and establish medium- and long-term product visions aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
- Evaluate new product opportunities and insurance distribution channels, assessing their potential customer and commercial value.
- Lead product discovery initiatives by developing experiments, testing hypotheses, analyzing results, and iterating quickly toward product-market fit.
- Work with policy administration systems and carrier platforms to support product implementation, data exchange, operational workflows, and scalability.
- Support the integration and optimization of eApplication systems to simplify the digital application experience.
- Contribute to policy contract creation systems to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant generation of policy documents.
- Apply ACORD standards to facilitate consistent and standardized insurance data exchange across systems and processes.
- Collaborate on life insurance illustration platforms and related product infrastructure.
- Optimize the product portfolio with a focus on accessibility, simplicity, customer satisfaction, adoption, and measurable business impact.
- Work cross-functionally to identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and scalable product solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience with a proven track record of contributing to the development and launch of life insurance products and delivering measurable results.
- Strong knowledge of the complete life insurance lifecycle, including product design, distribution, underwriting, purchase, policy issuance, and administration.
- Hands-on experience with policy administration systems and their role in supporting insurance products and operational workflows.
- Experience working with ACORD standards and standardized insurance data exchange.
- Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, or maintaining eApplication systems and digital insurance application experiences.
- Experience with policy contract creation systems and policy document generation processes.
- Experience integrating policy administration platforms and other carrier systems, including systems connected through APIs, data pipelines, or similar technologies.
- Experience working with life insurance illustration platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify new product and distribution opportunities and assess them against customer and business needs.
- Demonstrated ability to scale, optimize, and improve products while balancing customer experience, adoption, and commercial objectives.
- Strong understanding of modern product management practices, including discovery, experimentation, hypothesis validation, prioritization, and data-driven decision-making.
- Growth-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership, curiosity, and willingness to learn through experimentation.

Conditions
- US national base salary range of $126,000–$222,000, with individual compensation determined by role level, location, skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
