Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable backend solutions for complex scenarios
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Product, Design/UX, DevOps, and other R&D teams
- Maintain and improve engineering practices, suggesting and implementing technology, patterns, or process enhancements
- Play a key part in migrating legacy systems to modern, cloud-native architectures
- Support system and data migrations, ensuring minimal disruption, backward compatibility, and performance optimization
- Proactively identify areas of improvement in team systems, processes, and scalability
- Lead by example in code quality, contributing significantly to code reviews
- Help monitor production systems, investigate potential issues, and resolve critical production challenges
Requirements
- 6+ years in backend software engineering roles
- Proficiency in C#, Java, or similar object-oriented languages
- Proven experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Hands-on knowledge of relational databases like SQL Server
- Experience with message queues or streaming platforms (e.g., RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka)
- Strong experience writing unit tests and ensuring high test coverage
- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
- BA/BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
Conditions
- Hybrid, full-time position in Gurgaon, India
- Exposure to legacy system modernization or platform migration projects is highly valued
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus
- Familiarity with non-relational databases such as MongoDB is a plus
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts is a plus
