Okta secures AI by building trusted, neutral infrastructure. The team that built Jeeva AI is building Digital Workers, autonomous agents for identity operations and security, working directly with the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement shared contracts for tasks, events, permissions, approvals, evidence and usage
- Set boundaries between model reasoning, agent harnesses, durable workflows and authorization services
- Select a harness through representative identity tasks, failure tests and operational evidence
- Design integrations with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, including data boundaries, latency, cost and release quality
- Build reference services for tenant isolation, scoped tool execution, idempotency and verified results
- Define transactional and analytics data architecture, separating PostgreSQL from ClickHouse/BigQuery analytics
- Write critical implementations, review recovery and security, guide technical leads through production rollout
Requirements
- Record of leading architecture and delivery across multiple engineering teams, with recent production code
- Deep knowledge of distributed services, API design, data consistency, cloud security and production operations
- Experience simplifying systems while improving reliability, security or delivery speed
- Ability to explain design tradeoffs and guide senior engineers
- Depth in AI systems (agent harnesses, Claude Agent SDK, Codex SDK, Strands Agents, LangGraph) or platform architecture
Conditions
- Annual base salary range for San Francisco Bay Area: $274,000 – $376,200 USD
