MEP and Facilities Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead facility design, construction, commissioning, renovation, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Provide technical expertise in HVAC, MEP infrastructure, building automation systems (BAS), environmental controls, and facility utilities.
• Design and optimize controlled-environment facilities (temperature, humidity, airflow, ventilation, CO₂ management).
• Coordinate engineering consultants, contractors, equipment vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Conduct facility assessments and technical due diligence for acquisitions and expansions.
• Partner with Operations, Facilities, Quality, and Compliance teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Support compliance with GACP, GMP, EU-GMP, and OSHA requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in facility performance and reliability.
• Support domestic and international projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food production, cannabis, or other regulated facilities.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, MEP infrastructure, environmental controls, and facility utilities.
• Experience managing facility design, construction, renovation, commissioning, or capital projects.
• Knowledge of BAS, facility controls, and environmental monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and facility safety standards.
• Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
• Preferred: PE license; cannabis cultivation/manufacturing experience; clean-room/pharma experience; GACP/GMP/EU-GMP knowledge; international exposure.
• Ability to travel up to 60% and proximity to a major airport.

Conditions

• Annual compensation $131,000–$159,000 USD.
