This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Test Automation Engineer – Networking background is a must based in India.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and scale automated testing solutions and test tools for security and networking products
- Take end-to-end ownership of test strategy for assigned product components
- Develop and maintain backend services and automation utilities using Python, with Django and Flask
- Contribute to API development, system integrations, debugging, and application performance improvements
- Work with Vue.js applications to implement features, troubleshoot issues, and optimize frontend components
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including schemas, complex SQL queries, performance tuning, data integrity, and scalability
- Support development, testing, and deployment in cloud and virtualized environments such as OpenStack
- Investigate complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement robust fixes and automated regression coverage
- Apply networking and cybersecurity knowledge when testing firewall and security functionality
- Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams
Requirements
- Strong professional experience developing applications and automation solutions using Python
- Hands-on experience with Django and Flask
- Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall technologies
- Practical understanding of firewall products, security testing, and cybersecurity concepts
- Experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, SQL development, query optimization, and performance tuning
- Working knowledge of Vue.js
- Experience with cloud, virtualization, or simulation environments such as OpenStack
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
- Experience with Ruby on Rails is a plus
- B.E., B.Tech., M.Tech., or equivalent degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
