This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Shopify Developer based in India.
Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Build custom Shopify features and functionalities based on business and eCommerce requirements.
- Create and maintain reusable theme components, custom sections, templates, and storefront elements.
- Optimize Shopify stores for speed, performance, mobile responsiveness, usability, and overall functionality.
- Develop and manage Shopify API integrations with third-party applications, tools, and external platforms.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Shopify apps, plugins, integrations, and platform extensions.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, bugs, compatibility problems, and performance concerns across browsers and devices.
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to implement high-quality storefront experiences and conversion-focused UI/UX improvements.
- Support A/B testing initiatives and other enhancements designed to improve customer engagement and conversion rates.
- Assist with Shopify store migrations, theme upgrades, feature deployments, and ongoing technical improvements.
- Monitor and improve page speed and other performance indicators to maintain an efficient customer experience.
- Maintain clean, scalable, and maintainable code while following development best practices and documenting technical solutions.
- Use version control and established development workflows to support reliable development and deployment processes.
- Manage multiple development priorities effectively while meeting project deadlines and maintaining high-quality deliverables.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Shopify Developer or in a comparable eCommerce development role.
- Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify theme architecture.
- Demonstrated experience building, customizing, and maintaining Shopify themes and storefronts.
- Solid knowledge of Shopify APIs, webhooks, third-party integrations, and external platform connectivity.
- Experience configuring and managing Shopify apps, extensions, plugins, and related integrations.
- Familiarity with Git and modern version control and development workflows.
- Strong understanding of responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, and website performance optimization.
- Knowledge of Shopify SEO best practices and their application to eCommerce storefronts.
- Shopify Plus experience is a plus.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple development tasks, prioritize effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Technical setup should include a dual-monitor computer with at least 8 GB of RAM, internet speed of at least 25 Mbps, and a camera with at least 1080p resolution.
