• Remote development project building a next-generation mobile application for a professional football team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs to support mobile application features, fan engagement, and digital service delivery.
• Implement AI-powered features by integrating services and models from providers such as OpenAI, Hugging Face, or similar platforms.
• Develop efficient asynchronous data flows and ensure reliable communication between components and external services.
• Design, optimize, and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth2 and JWT.
• Containerize applications using Docker and support cloud deployment, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development, deployment automation, and testing.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Python development, building production-ready backend systems.
• Strong knowledge of FastAPI or Flask and RESTful API design.
• Practical experience integrating AI/ML services via APIs (OpenAI, Hugging Face, or comparable).
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, JSON-based data exchange, and data processing.
• Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases (SQL and NoSQL).
• Hands-on experience with Docker, cloud deployment, and CI/CD pipelines; Microsoft Azure is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of application security, authentication protocols, and data protection.
• Familiarity with Node.js is an advantage but not essential.
• Willingness to complete a HackerRank technical assessment.

Conditions

• Remote-first flexibility with occasional in-person team sessions approximately once per quarter, likely in Prague.
• Flexible working hours with expected collaboration overlap around 9:00–10:00 and 18:00–19:00 CET.

• International collaboration with a distributed team.
• Expected start date: as soon as possible.
