Product Manager, Payments Infrastructure role at a partner company, fully remote, serving emerging markets in fintech.
Responsibilities
- Own and execute the technical roadmap for core payment infrastructure (payment rails, ledger systems, settlement engines, currency conversion, virtual accounts)
- Lead development of virtual accounts and Virtual IBAN infrastructure
- Align infrastructure capabilities with customer requirements alongside the Payment Experience PM
- Evaluate and oversee integrations with banking partners, liquidity providers, and stablecoin settlement networks
- Own transaction processing, settlement, and reconciliation systems
- Define payment routing and currency conversion strategies (USDC, USDT, PYUSD)
- Partner with Engineering on architecture (APIs, distributed systems, data consistency, idempotency, error handling)
- Work with Treasury on liquidity requirements and payment corridor coverage
- Collaborate with Compliance on regulatory and licensing requirements
- Define and monitor infrastructure performance metrics
- Work on capacity planning, incident response, and scalability
- Document infrastructure capabilities and partner integrations
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Product Management experience, including 3+ years with payment infrastructure, payment rails, ledger systems, or core banking/transaction platforms in fintech or crypto
- Strong technical fluency (APIs, distributed systems, data consistency, transaction processing, system reliability)
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Product Management, or related field
- Professional fluency in English
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across time zones
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to make trade-offs between speed, cost, scalability, and reliability
- Experience with stablecoin or cryptocurrency settlement networks is a plus
- Experience integrating banking partners or cross-border payment rails is a plus
- Strong communication and documentation skills
