Coinbase is a remote-first, but not remote-only company. Security is core to the mission. The Security Platform Engineering (SPE) team builds platform capabilities for security, compliance, and privacy use cases including secrets and key management, identity access and management, onchain security, policy and risk management, and vulnerabilities management.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop platform for the security platform engineering org.
- Provide technical structure to teams and work closely with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps.
- Build new services to meet critical product and business needs using Golang / Java.
- Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
- Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
- Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards.
- Articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling backend systems.
- Write high quality, well tested code and debug extremely difficult technical problems.
- Review all feature designs within your product area and across the company.
Requirements
- At least 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Designed, built, scaled and maintained production services, and know how to compose a service oriented architecture.
- Strong technical skills for system design and coding.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight.
Conditions
- Remote - India
- Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus): ₹9,424,500 INR
- Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility and benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).
