This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Team Lead - E-Discovery (Data Breach Reviews) based in the United States.
This role offers an opportunity to lead legal review teams supporting complex U.S. data breach and cyber incident response matters.
Responsibilities
- Supervise attorneys performing cyber data mining, e-discovery, and sensitive-data review activities for U.S. data breach matters.
- Assign work, establish daily priorities, manage workloads, and monitor productivity against project deadlines.
- Conduct quality-control reviews to ensure work meets established protocols, accuracy standards, and client requirements.
- Train, coach, and support team members while providing clear and timely performance feedback.
- Track project performance, including capacity, productivity, quality, volumes, and progress against deadlines.
- Identify workflow challenges and operational risks, escalate issues appropriately, and recommend practical process improvements.
- Lead team meetings and communicate project status, priorities, risks, and resource requirements to managers and other stakeholders.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling PII, PHI, and other sensitive or regulated information.
- Ensure review activities follow applicable data-security procedures and project protocols.
- Support multiple concurrent matters and adapt team staffing and priorities in response to changing data volumes and deadlines.
- Contribute to the efficient delivery of large-scale cyber incident response and data breach review engagements.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience in a Team Lead, supervisory, or people-management capacity.
- Demonstrated experience supporting U.S. data breach notification matters.
- Hands-on experience with cyber data mining, data breach review, document review, e-discovery, or a comparable legal-services environment.
- Experience leading teams on large-scale cyber incident response or data breach review projects.
- Familiarity with Relativity or similar e-discovery and legal review platforms.
- Working knowledge of PII, PHI, and other categories of sensitive or regulated data.
- Familiarity with U.S. privacy and data breach notification regulations.
- Experience managing remote legal review teams and distributed workflows.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and quality-control skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple high-volume projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting demanding deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide direction, coaching, and constructive feedback.
- Ability to remain adaptable and composed in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and project volumes.

- Competitive annual salary range of $70,000–$80,000 USD.
