About the company

• Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses.
• The team owns open-source SDKs reflecting the Stripe API in seven programming languages, plus an in-house code generation framework.

Responsibilities

• Be the Golang expert on the team, ensuring idiomatic experiences for the Golang community
• Use Node.js expertise to improve the code generation framework
• Collaborate with Stripe teams to release APIs in the SDKs and improve release efficiency
• Streamline the API authoring process
• Support users on open-source GitHub repositories
• Add support for new language features in SDKs
• Help lead the API design process
• Collaborate, mentor, and support other team members

Requirements

• 6+ years in engineering across a wide range of products
• 3+ years of experience as a Golang software engineer
• Interest in working with multiple programming languages
• Passion for API design and developer experience

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in PHP and Ruby
• Experience building libraries and/or SDKs
• Knowledge of OpenAPI spec and protobuf

Conditions

• Locations: Toronto, NY, SEA, SF
• Annual salary range (primary location): CA$135,200 - CA$258,000
• Hybrid: at least 50% of time in local office per month
