Responsibilities
- Support the operation and maintenance of Samsara's vulnerability management program.
- Manage vulnerability scanning tools and refine detection capabilities.
- Generate and distribute monthly and quarterly compliance reports.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to track and support remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Analyze and triage vulnerabilities, escalating critical issues as needed.
- Participate in security incident investigations.
- Contribute to documentation and process improvements.
- Champion Samsara's cultural principles.
Requirements
- Familiarity with security engineering best practices and common vulnerabilities.
- Scripting experience in Python and Pandas.
- Understanding of cloud environments (AWS preferred) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform a plus).
- Experience with Linux-based environments.
- Exposure to security automation tools (e.g., Tines, AWS Lambda) is beneficial.
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools like Wiz or Semgrep is a plus.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in security engineering or vulnerability management.
- Ideal: experience with FedRAMP environments and integrating vulnerability management into CI/CD pipelines.
