This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a MuleSoft Architect/Developer based in Canada. Fully remote, 12-month contract.
Responsibilities
- Lead integration architecture and development throughout the API lifecycle (requirements, design, deployment, governance, support)
- Design, develop, configure, test, document, deploy, and maintain MuleSoft APIs and integration applications
- Define platform architecture, deployment strategies, automation pipelines, and integration practices
- Develop secure, scalable RESTful and SOAP APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Mule 4, DataWeave 2.0, and CloudHub
- Design API solutions using Anypoint Exchange, Design Center, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Anypoint Studio, Data Gateway, and Access Management
- Establish API strategy, promote API reuse, develop core system APIs, connectors, and shared integration assets
- Build integrations across Java, Salesforce, C# with .NET Core, Oracle, Snowflake, and GoAnywhere
- Design synchronous and asynchronous messaging, streaming, flow routing, and file-based request/response processing
- Provide architectural guidance on security, authentication, authorization, API governance, and privacy controls
- Troubleshoot integration defects, perform performance tuning, resolve production incidents
- Mentor team members and review the work of other developers and vendors
Requirements
- At least 5 years developing and testing web services (RESTful and SOAP APIs) using MuleSoft or other technologies
- At least 4 years designing secure, scalable APIs with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform tools
- At least 3 years hands-on with DataWeave 2.0 and Mule 4 applications in CloudHub
- At least 2 years using CloudHub and Anypoint Platform for ESB and deployment
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong understanding of API best practices, deployment lifecycles, testing, and secure integration design
Preferred
- 4+ years with Database, File, and Sockets connectors; Salesforce, Amazon S3, Snowflake connectors
- Knowledge of microservices, MVC, and SOLID principles
- Experience with JSON, XML, HTML, RAML, WSDL
- Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, DynamoDB, Snowflake
