Responsibilities
- Define and establish a practical approach for discovering, adopting, and scaling AI-native ways of working across teams, helping employees incorporate AI effectively into their day-to-day workflows.
- Lead strategic embedded engagements that connect organizational priorities, real-world user workflows, experimentation, and the reusable capabilities that should be developed within the AI platform.
- Translate patterns and insights gathered from teams into platform strategy, architecture, technical roadmaps, and investments that create scalable value rather than isolated solutions.
- Design scalable engagement, enablement, and adoption models that allow more teams to learn and implement AI capabilities efficiently while reducing duplicated effort.
- Partner with engineering and business leaders to align on opportunities, technical and organizational tradeoffs, expected outcomes, and responsible approaches to AI adoption.
- Unblock complex, multi-team initiatives by establishing clear decision-making frameworks, aligning stakeholders, and developing meaningful measures for evaluating whether AI adoption is improving how teams operate.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and emerging technical leaders, promoting systems thinking, user-centered problem solving, and strong engineering practices beyond an immediate team.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a demonstrated ability to operate effectively on complex technical initiatives.
- 3+ years of experience leading software teams or major technical initiatives, with a track record of influencing direction and delivering meaningful outcomes across multiple teams or a significant functional domain.
- Deep fluency with modern AI tools, technologies, and application patterns, combined with sound judgment regarding their responsible, scalable, and practical use.
- Strong product thinking, systems-thinking, and problem-framing abilities, particularly when working through ambiguous problems involving multiple technical and business stakeholders.
- Proven experience translating user needs, experimentation, and operational insights into reusable products, platforms, technical capabilities, or operating models.
- Ability to align senior technical and business stakeholders, facilitate cross-functional decisions, and explain complex AI concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A strong record of identifying strategic technical investments, unblocking large or ambiguous initiatives, and creating impact beyond the boundaries of an immediate engineering team.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and influence skills, with the ability to build trust and drive alignment among technical leaders, business stakeholders, and engineers.
