iOS Engineer

Responsibilities

• Enhance static analysis: develop tools inspecting iOS application packages (IPAs) to identify vulnerabilities, privacy issues, insecure configurations, and dangerous code patterns
• Improve dynamic application analysis: build instrumentation tools analyzing runtime behavior on physical or simulated devices
• Research new security detection techniques and design automated security checks
• Develop, test, and optimize analysis tooling components
• Explore iOS runtime behavior, runtime APIs, and platform mechanisms
• Contribute to reverse engineering of application binaries
• Collaborate with distributed mobile engineering teams
• Contribute to open-source projects
• Write clean, maintainable, efficient code and troubleshoot issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3+ years with mobile technologies, including iOS development or mobile software engineering
• Strong hands-on iOS development experience
• Good understanding of iOS runtime, application execution, and platform architecture
• Python scripting for automation and tooling
• Familiarity with static analysis, binary analysis, or automated defect detection (advantage)
• Interest in dynamic analysis and instrumentation
• Reverse engineering experience (strong advantage)
• Objective-C runtime APIs, method swizzling (beneficial)
• Exposure to Frida, CydiaSubstrate, or similar frameworks (plus)
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving
• Effective collaboration and communication in distributed teams
• Cybersecurity background not required
