Responsibilities
- Handle help-desk tickets: triage and resolve employee requests — password resets, access provisioning, Slack/Google Workspace/Zoom troubleshooting
- Manage the device lifecycle: procure, provision, configure, and ship laptops; handle off-boarding wipes and returns; keep asset inventory accurate
- Run on-boarding and off-boarding: create accounts, apply security profiles, draft welcome communications
- Administer Google Workspace: manage users, groups, aliases, and license assignments using admin console and CLI tools
- Support endpoint compliance with device trust tooling
- Deploy and enforce security policies across the fleet
- Manage corporate software: seat assignments, renewals, license optimization, access reviews
- Support office networking and AV
- Train and enable employees on IT systems
- Maintain run-books, knowledge base articles, and process docs
Requirements
- Some form of IT support experience
- Comfort with macOS: troubleshoot system issues, manage profiles, work in the terminal
- Familiarity with Google Workspace administration; CLI admin tooling a plus
- Understanding of networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN basics
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles: endpoint security, encryption, access controls
- Strong written communication
- Self-direction
- Curiosity about how systems work
Nice to have
- Experience with MDM platforms
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code
- Scripting in Python, Bash, or JavaScript
- Familiarity with zero-trust networking concepts
- Background in compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001)
- Exposure to international IT regulations or data privacy (GDPR)
Conditions
- Remote on the West Coast; preferable near SF or Seattle office
- Reports to Head of IT/Security
