About the company

Responsibilities

Own the long-term design strategy for your product area across multiple releases
Partner with design leadership to define patterns and standards
Lead through influence, aligning product, engineering, research, and content partners
Design end-to-end journeys spanning the Okta portfolio and multiple personas
Bring a systems-thinking lens connecting user insights to business goals
Facilitate co-creation workshops with Product Management and Engineering
Mentor senior designers
Present ideas and concepts to adjacent teams and senior leadership
Advocate thoughtful use of AI for researching, brainstorming, iterating, prototyping

Requirements

Experience leading cross-discipline teams
Ability to move between big-picture thinking and detail
Heart of a teacher, able to mentor and train people
Thought leader exploring new technologies
Passionate about crafting and sharing product and design UX principles
Work AI into design process, vetting output for accuracy and usability
Keep user goals at the heart of solutions
Comfortable owning all stages of design
Storytelling skills to communicate design ideas
Portfolio showing complex technical projects across all aspects of design process
Degree in a related field or relevant work experience as Product Designer or UX Designer
Proficient in Figma or similar design tools
At least basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Digital portfolio showing depth across a variety of projects
7+ years of experience as Product Designer

Conditions

Must attend in person orientation the first week of employment in either San Francisco or Chicago
Must go into the office 2 days a week
